Well, you knew it was just a matter of time before we introduced fictional coolsisters. And what would be more fitting to start with - the endlessly entertaining Haynes sisters: Judy (Vera-Ellen)and Betty (Rosemary Clooney) from White Christmas. They could dance, sing, look terrific, and get their men (no comments from the peanut gallery on Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby: it was suppose to be Crosby and Astaire, if you can imagine). We love the corn, the technicolor, the goofy capers, the 50's clothes, the troops, the dancing (choreography by an uncredited Bob Fosse), and of course the big, big finale in the barn with the snow. You don't know what we are talking about??? Netflix, baby. Spoiler alert: Rosemary Clooney sings both parts in this number.

AHA! for years I've admired how closely these two did their harmonies on "Sisters" -- now I know the trick, Rosemary singing both parts! So I'm sitting in a planning meeting and just thinking of this song I start to hum it a bit...
