End of Summer

The garden is approaching exhaustion but still pumping out tomatoes, peppers, basil, and a few eggplant. We think the herbs like the cooler weather, so we are still getting lots of basil, tarragon, thyme, chives, and mint. But the summer crops will end soon and then it will be time to clean up the spent vines, compost the soil, and give the garden a much needed rest (save for a few fall vegetables) ....until next year.
