Collecting

The coolsisters have been thinking what about what we have collected over the years. For a time one of the coolsisters had a napkin collection, which was carefully maintained in a bound scrapbook. These were mostly paper cocktail napkins from the swank (for Cincinnati) places our father would visit for a drink, probably with a date, (but that's another story) and he would somehow remember to bring home a specimen for the collection. We liked that you could thumb through the pages and think about that icy martini we had yet to taste. We've also collected old yardsticks, Fiestaware, all white and all green Ohio pottery, white Rockwood animal figurines, made-in-Japan sugar Christmas houses, mercury glass, and vintage hose nozzles (the picture is the proof), just to name a few. Frankly though, none of them are quite as cool as that napkin collection.
