Rome falls but crafting continues

Here's a whole bunch of brooches we've been working on while watching season 2 of ROME. Have you seen this series that ran a few years ago on HBO (we are going the Netflix route)? Its the modern day equivalent of those great sand and sandals movies of the 60s and 70s - Ben Hur, Greatest Story Ever Told, Spartacus. Lots of plots, drama, sex, violence and of course, costumes (incredible leather, folded fabric gowns, and hammered jewels to gawk at - a real feast for the eye). We think our color palette is getting darker and darker as the episodes progress and those Romans start getting really nasty.
